Black Tea
Begin
with cold water and bring to a boil. Either place your
loose tea in a tea ball or
use an infusion basket.
Add one teaspoon of tea per cup. If you
want the tea stronger, add more tea, but do not brew longer. Allow tea to
steep 3 to 5 minutes and then remove tealeaves from your mug or pot. Save
the leaves and steep the second time for 6 to 10 minutes. Timers are
great to use for the perfect cup of tea.
Green Tea
Begin with cold water and
bring your water to a simmer (little bubbles are forming
on the bottom of teakettle) remove from heat. Add one
teaspoon of
tea per cup. Place your loose tea in a tea ball or use an infusion basket.
Allow tea to steep 1-1/2 to 2 minutes and the remove tea leaves from your
mug or pot. Save the leaves and steep the second time for 3 to 4 minutes. Timers are
great to use for the perfect cup of tea.
Oolong and White Tea
Begin with cold water and
bring your water to a simmer (little bubbles are forming
on the bottom of teapot) remove from heat. Add one
teaspoon of tea
per cup. Place you loose tea in a tea ball or use an infusion basket. Allow
tea to steep 2 to 3 minutes and remove tealeaves from your mug or pot. Save
the leaves and steep the second time for 8 to 10 minutes. Timers are
great to use for the perfect cup of tea.
Rooibos
Begin with cold water and bring to a rolling boil for
at least 4 minutes. While water is boiling, add one
teaspoon of tea per cup. Put tea in teaball or infusion
basket. When water is ready, immediately pour water
and let tea steep/brew for the time indicated on
bag. Timers are great to use for the perfect cup
of tea.
